Stalwart Esports Disqualified From BGIS 2023 The Grind by Krafton

Some of the top BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) teams from across the country are giving it their absolute best in the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 The Grind. While most are proving their worth by putting up brilliant performances, Stalwart Esports is far from it with Krafton officially disqualifying them from the tournament for ringing.
As per the official announcement, Krafton observed that Stalwart Esports engaged in unfair methods by violating sections 2.1.5 and 6.2.4 of the BGIS rulebook.
The first section imposed against the team is related to 'Single Team Exclusivity' while the second section refers to 'Ringing', which is simply the act of allowing someone else to play under the registered account in place of the actual player.
It is because of 6.2.4 that Stalwart Esports has been disqualified from the tournament and will not be progressing to the next round.
BGIS 2023 The Grind: Krafton Disqualifies Stalwart Esports For Ringing
Though a final decision on the matter has been provided by Krafton it is necessary to quell the confusion that might exist in the regional mobile gaming community related to the relation between Stalwart Esports and Dynamic Esports.
As per a statement by Sheikh Abu Bakr - CEO of Stalwart Esports, the team’s slot for BGIS 2023 The Grind was transferred to Dynamic Esports before the tournament started. However, the name could not be changed due to this being a last-minute decision.
He agrees that they should not have gone ahead with this change while clarifying that ownership of the slot was not in their control.
"When we were made aware of the situation, we reached out to Krafton ourselves and requested them to disqualify the slot so that the next deserving team gets qualified," states Abu Bakr, apologizing to the entire community and all affected teams.
He also requested players to maintain a fair play environment and work hard to achieve their goals.
Stalwart Esports had a slot for BGIS 2023 The Grind which it gave to Dynamic Esports, who fielded a female BGMI roster and competed with it in Round 1 - Week 2, Day 2, Group 11.
The team ended up using some of their male players to compete via the originally registered accounts and somehow managed to qualify ahead by placing seventh in their group.
Dynamic Esports had publicly announced that it would compete in the tournament as Stalwart Esports, instead of the organization stating that it has taken over the slot originally owned by Stalwart Esports.
With Stalwart Esports or Dynamic Esports being disqualified from BGIS 2023 The Grind, a new slot has opened up in the next round for which a replacement team will soon be announced by Krafton.
