Skyesports Championship 3.0 Has Been Announced Featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India

The Skyesports Championship 3.0 has been announced featuring a prize pool of Rs. 55,00,000 ($75,000 USD). The tournament features six popular esports titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Valorant, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans. The two remaining esports titles will be revealed at a later date. The Skyesports Championship 3.0 officially starts on 30th August and will last until October 2021. Esports enthusiasts from various regions such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan are all invited to participate in the qualifier stages for a chance of claiming the lion’s share of the prize pool.

Skyesports Championship 3.0 details

After the tournament’s successful first and second editions, the AMD Ryzen Skyesports Championship returns for the third time, bigger than ever. The tournament has now expanded to six of the most popular esports titles in Southeast Asia.

The tournament is expected to run from August 30 until October 2021 without any phases or seasonal breaks.

As esports continues to develop in India, AMD is pleased to partner with Skyesports again in 2021 at their third Skyesports Championship. Tournaments such as these continue to give opportunities for Indian gamers to compete and push their limits in key titles,” stated Mukesh Bajpai, the India marketing head at AMD. “AMD continues to be at the heart of gaming with its Ryzen and Radeon products and technologies giving players an edge when competing in top esports titles.”

BGMI, India’s most popular mobile Battle Royale, will be receiving Rs. 25,00,000 ($34282 USD) of the total prize pool. South Asia’s popular FPS title, Valorant will get Rs. 22,00,000 ($30168 USD) of the total prize pool. Meanwhile, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and the two unannounced titles will feature prize pools of Rs. 2,00,000 ($2743 USD) each.

Here are the schedules of the four esports titles in the Skyesports Championship 3.0;

Battlegrounds Mobile India

  • Semifinals: 30th Aug - 5th Sept 2021

  • Grand Finals: 6th - 12th Sept 2021

Valorant

  • Registrations end: 7th Sept 2021

  • Qualifiers and wildcard: 8th - 30th Sept 2021

  • Playoffs: 2nd - 20th Oct 2021

  • Finals: 22nd - 24th Oct 2021

Brawl Stars

  • Registrations end: 3rd Sept 2021

  • Qualifiers: 5th Sept - onwards

  • Finals (Round Robin): 28th Sept - 3rd Oct 2021

Clash of Clans

  • Registrations end: 4th Sept 2021

  • Qualifiers: 8th Sept - onwards

Registrations for all the esports events are currently ongoing. Interested players can register through the official Skyesports website. The tournament will be played online to ensure the safety of the staff and players amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Where to watch the Skyesports Championship 3.0

The tournament will be broadcasted live and will feature commentators in nine different languages. The Hindi and English languages will be live-streamed on the official YouTube Channel of Skyesports. Meanwhile, the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Bengali, and Punjabi languages can be viewed on the official Facebook page.

With BGMI’s entry into the tournament, it will be interesting to see if the third edition of the Skyesports Championship will be able to surpass its previous iterations in terms of audience and hype.
