NODWIN Loco All Stars Invitational is the first esports tournament to take place on LAN in India after more than two years.
It is also the first-ever BGMI LAN event to take place since the game's release last year and Team SouL was one of the 16 teams who had received a direct invite.
Earlier today, SID during a YouTube livestream explained why Team SouL decided not to participate in the tournament at the very last moment.

NODWIN and Loco have come together to announce the first esports LAN tournament in India after more than two years, NODWIN Loco All Stars Invitational, featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Asphalt as the two mobile esports titles.

Team SouL was one of the 16 teams invited for the ongoing BGMI event which is taking place in Delhi NCR (National Capital Region). However, the team had to rescind its direct invite at the very last moment due to one of its players facing health issues.

On 27th April, Siddhant "SID" Joshi - BGMI Manager of Team SouL, during a livestream on YouTube, came forward to answer why they decided not to participate in the first-ever BGMI LAN tournament to take place since the mobile battle royale's release last year.

NODWIN Loco All Stars Invitational is receiving a lot of hype within the Indian gaming community, as it is the first LAN tournament to take place in the country since the competitive scene shifted online more than two years ago.

Additionally, it is the first-ever BGMI LAN event to take place since the game was released in July 2021. Amidst all the hype, there was a lot of speculation as well about which teams would be invited for the tournament. Team SouL is one of the fan favourites and the majority wanted to see them in action.

However, one day before the tournament was scheduled to start reports started to surface about Team SouL backing out of the LAN event due to one of the player's facing health issues.

This turned out to be true, as SID during an hour-long stream on YouTube earlier today revealed that Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal was suffering from food poisoning and as he was still not feeling perfectly fine the team had taken the decision to not compete in the tournament.

"We were on the way to the airport. Goblin's health became worse, like he was not recovering [from food poisoning]", said SID.

SID further explained that it was not necessary to fall sick to food poisoning by only eating from a bad place, "It is not something you can realistically avoid, it does happen sometimes. If your luck is down, it does end up happening at times."

The tournament which is currently underway is being led by TSM following the culmination of the first day. They stand at top of the points table with 67 points to their name, closely followed by Team XO, Revenant Esports, Skylightz Gaming, and Enigma Gaming taking the next four spots.
