S8UL Esports’ manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi recently advised viewers not to wait too long to switch from Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to New State Mobile. He stated that those who can't switch between BGMI and New State Mobile are fooling themselves. Sid explained that New State Mobile had a lot more opportunities and that good players will find success in this title if they grind instead of waiting for BGMI’s return.
Sid warned that it may be too late for players to switch if they wait for an announcement that could possibly indicate BGMI’s return.
Sid states it would be too late if players wait for BGMI’s return
Sid recently hosted a watch party for the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile India Open. During this watch party, he advised viewers not to wait too long to make a decision about shifting to New State Mobile. Sid stated, “If BGMI does not come back, don’t let it be too late for you. If you’re a BGMI player and you shift to New State Mobile, and BGMI returns tomorrow, then you can’t move back to BGMI - if that is what you are telling me after playing the game for almost three or four years then you are fooling yourself in my opinion,” he added.
He stated that the current state of the New State Mobile esports is nascent, and there are fewer players grinding, which means that opportunities for players to get in are higher. He emphasized that those who believe BGMI players will have the first opportunity in the game are mistaken and that their understanding of the situation is incorrect. “This is not how it is going to happen. This is not how we are going to do it, and this is not how, I think, any organization is going to do it,” he added.
Sid encouraged players to consider switching to New State Mobile and emphasized that good players will have opportunities if they put in the effort to grind the game.
He also addressed players’ concerns about New State Mobile’s graphics and other issues. He argued that these problems are not as significant as players believe and that the game is not much different from others. “There are not many problems; this game is not much different. You only have to grasp a little,” he said.
“It isn’t like you are going to play CoD (Call of Duty) after playing Valorant,” said Sid. He added that Call of Duty (CoD) and Valorant are very distinct. He explained that if a player is familiar with Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), they may be able to switch to Valorant because they resemble each other, and the players will only need to learn a few skills. He added, “Even Valorant and CSGO are not good examples because they are very different. These two games (BGMI and New State Mobile) are super similar, and you can switch quickly.”
Sid expressed concern that it may be too late for players to make the switch if they wait until it is announced that BGMI will not return. “I am not getting paid to say this. I just hope it doesn’t get too late for you. If it is announced that BGMI won’t return after three or four months, and you shift, it would be too late. Then you’ll have to grind for a year. If you start grinding now, maybe you will get to see the results in three to four months,” he said.
