The Sibol National Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team (MLBB) team continued its dominant run in the 31st Southeast Asia (SEA) Games after a 2-1 victory against Singapore in the semifinals match. While the Singapore team was able to secure Game 1, the Sibol MLBB Squad was able to recover and spearhead the series with two straight wins. The squad comprising of the Philippines’ (PH) Blacklist International members will now head to the grand finals for a chance at securing a Gold medal. The 31st SEA Games MLBB grand finals event will kick off on 20th May. The Singapore team will head to the Third-place match to compete for the Bronze medal.
Blacklist Sibol squad secures Medal finish after dominating semifinals against Singapore
The Sibol MLBB team features a mix of iconic members - Danerie “Wise” James Del Rosario, Salic “Hadji” Alauya Imam, Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, and the promising rookies Russel “Eyon” Aaron Usi, Lee “Owl” Howard Gonzales, and Kyle “Dominic” Dominic Soto.
This combination of veteran pro players and promising rookies is proving effective for the Blacklist Sibol squad as it is now one step away from securing a Gold medal in the 31st SEA Games.
Game 1 did not work in the favor of the Sibol team as Singapore’s Adam "Adammir" Chong delivered a solid performance with his Beatrix supported by Basil Lim "Seilah" Dao Ze’s Xavier in the backline for the extra damage burst.
However, The Blacklist Sibol squad was able to recover from its early jitters in Game 2 thanks to OhMyV33NUS’ impressive Diggy gameplay, offering utility and massive vision advantage for the team. With a match point on the line, OhMyV33NUS opted for the classic Rafaela pick with Wise taking his signature Baxia. This provided the team enough utility and survivability in teamfights, allowing Hadji to deliver continuous pressure with his Cecilion along with Owl’s Beatrix.
With the 31st SEA Games Gold medal within its reach, the stakes are high for the Sibol MLBB Squad as they prepare to face their final battle on 20th May.
