Scout responds to giving second chances to cheaters
Scout has been at the forefront when talking about players who are cheating and gaining unfair advantages. He had also talked about teams who were cheating in the BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2023 event and was one of the first few to raise his voice against the issue.
In a recent live stream, Scout talked about some of the fans bearing sympathy for cheaters when instead strict action should be taken upon such miscreants. He said, “When strict action is taken on cheaters some fans do come in my chat and say that a certain player should get a second chance. There were people who were saying that Saggy [a player disqualified for cheating] should get second chances. I do not understand what is the need to give second chances to such players. If he has gotten clean and doesn’t cheat anymore, it is good for him but a crime is a crime.”
Even S8UL Siddhant “Sid” Joshi recently spoke about BGMI teams uniting and taking a stand against cheaters. Sid said that esports organizations in India generally don’t unite but he believes that the team should unite if they want to fight against the cheating issue which has been going on for months now.
Many esports athletes from the BGMI community like Ashutosh “Punkk” Singh, Rishabh "Encore" Katoch, Rahul “Novaking” Dhankar and Hamza "Blaze" Hyderabadwala also raised concerns regarding this issue and said that we as players should unite and take action against the teams who are using unethical means to succeed.
Krafton had taken steps in the past during the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023, where it disqualified many teams for breaking rules and regulations and fans are hoping for a similar action to be taken after the conclusion of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023.
