SBTC Esports secures championship title in the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021.
Team Secret settles for 2nd place and will join SBTC Esports in the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021, the first international event for the mobile MOBA title.
The Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 is scheduled to kick off on 13th Nov 2021.

After a grueling BO7 match, SBTC Esports have become the champions of the League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia (SEA) Championship 2021 after beating Team Secret in the grand finals with a score of 4-1. The newly crowned champions will be heading home with $30,000 USD prize money while Team Secret settles for 1st runner-up with $20,000 USD prize money. Both teams will represent SEA in the upcoming Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021, the first international esports event for Riot Games’ mobile MOBA title. Both teams will now prepare for the biggest Wild Rift esports event which is scheduled to kick off on 13th Nov 2021.

Vietnamese pride dominates with SBTC Esports winning the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021

In the first match Team Secret started strong with a double support team composition. Heri "Tatsurii" Garcia picked Lulu while James "Hamezz" Santos used Braum, building a very solid team with durability and sustainability. This made things hard for SBTC Esports to take down Team Secret in a team fight. The first match was eventually secured by Team Secret thanks to Caster "Chewy" Dela Cruz’s impressive Vayne gameplay.

The second match went in favor of SBTC Esports. Team Secret went for a full aggressive team composition with Hamezz’s Galio as the tank support. SBTC saw the opportunity and locked in their comfort picks with Nguyễn "TF" Hữu Thuần’s Lee Sin and Phạm "Minas" Minh Phước’s Camille. This made it hard for Team Secret to engage in team fights with only Galio as the reliable tank in the team.

Team Secret had a hard time penetrating SBTC Esports in the third match. With two durable fighter champions and one utility support, SBTC was able to protect its main carry with ease. This gave the team a huge advantage in team fights and slowly penetrated Team Secret’s base and secured their second win.

SBTC Esports Continued it’s momentum in the fourth and fifth match. The Vietnamese team always managed to secure dragon buffs while Team Secret desperately held out to reach late game and flip the tides. SBTC finished the grand finals with a massive victory against Team Secret with a match score of 4-1.

Team Secret's last stand before losing against SBTC Esports.

Both SBTC Esports and Team Secret will proceed to the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 to compete against the top eight teams from around the world for the lion's share of the largest prize pool in Wild Rift esports history ($500,000 USD). SBTC Esports will be looking to use the momentum of their win to take things to the next level while Team Secret will take this as its chance for redemption.

It will be interesting to see how well the SEA teams will hold up against other teams from around the world in the upcoming Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021.
