The Indonesian (ID) powerhouse RRQ Hoshi delivered a 3-1 upset on RSG PH in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC 2022) upper bracket playoffs. RSG PH was able to secure a win in the third game thanks to Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s Julian clutch plays, but it was not enough to keep the team’s momentum going. Through a post-match press-conference, RRQ Hoshi’s star Jungler Albert "Alberttt" Neilsen Iskandar shared his thoughts regarding Demonkite’s Ling performance during the first game. While the Indonesian team was able to beat the Philippines (PH) squad, Alberttt felt the opposing jungler put forth some solid gameplay with Ling.
RRQ Hoshi stops RSG PH’s rampage in the MSC 2022 upper bracket playoffs
The PH vs PH Grand Finals dream was dropped by RRQ Hoshi after it sent RSG PH down to the lower bracket playoffs. The ID team secured a two-win streak in the series despite RSG PH’ Demonkite’s desperate attempts to carry his team.
RRQ Hoshi had a minor setback in the third game where Dylan "Light" Aaron Catipon was able to secure his signature hero Franco and opened up a lot of skirmishes for RSG PH. However, the PH squad failed to keep its momentum going in the fourth game, allowing RRQ Hoshi to close the series with a 3-1 score.
Alberttt comments on Demonkite’s Ling gameplay
Alberttt is one of the best Assassin and Jungle players in the ID MLBB esports scene. After his match against Demonkite who is also one of the best Junglers in the Philippines, Alberttt shared his insights on the PH junglers’ performance as Ling.
“[I would rate it] 9 for Demonkite because [we] always scrim with him all the time, with Demonkite and RSG PH. [He’s] also a good player with Ling,” stated Alberttt
Despite the meta shift, Assassin heroes such as Ling and Lancelot remain one of the most viable junglers in MLBB. However, RSG PH was not able to convert Demonkite’s performance into a dominant victory.
RRQ Hoshi shall proceed to the finale while the remaining teams, Falcon Esports, Omega Esports, and RSG PH compete in the lower bracket playoffs for the Grand Finals slot in the MSC 2022.
