The grand finals of the League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia (SEA) Championships 2021 will definitely be an exciting event as Riot Games will collaborate with a mysterious Korean Pop (K-Pop) group. The grand finals of the event will be held on 3rd October 2021. Riot Games is yet to reveal any information about the K-pop group other than a teaser image revealing four silhouettes with a background that reads “Unleash Greatness”. Wild Rift fans speculate that this is the K-pop group known as Aespa. However, fans will not know for sure up until the grand finals of the Wild Rift SEA Championships 2021.

The Wild Rift SEA Championships 2021 is currently in its group stage where six top-tier teams from different regions compete for a slot in the playoffs. As the event draws close to the next phase, Riot Games announced something big for the grand finals of the event.

According to a post from the official social media handles of Wild Rift, the upcoming grand finals of the Wild Rift SEA Championships 2021 will feature a grand performance by a mysterious K-pop group. The name of the K-pop group is yet to be announced. However, fans have begun speculating on who might be the K-pop group that is showcased in the image.

According to the fans, it may be the fresh new group named Aespa which debuted last in November 2020. As seen in the two images, one is from Riot Games whereas the other one is the K-pop group’s promotional poster.

Riot Games stated that the K-pop group will be performing in the upcoming grand finals of the Wild Rift SEA Championships 2021 which is scheduled to kick off on 3rd Oct 2021.

The pose highly resembles the image by Riot Games.

Aespa is a Korean girl idol group that debuted last year with its first album “Black Mamba.” The group is backed by SM Entertainment, the same label company behind some of the biggest K-pop groups such as Super Junior, Girls Generation, EXO, NCT, and Red Velvet. The official Instagram page of Aespa is currently at 5.2 million followers with over three million listeners on its Spotify albums.

The members are Yu Ji Min, Uchinaga Aeri, Kim Min Jeong, and Ning Yizhuo.
