Riot Games China has officially announced League of Legends (LoL): Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021. The official Wild Rift esports tournament in China will feature 16 teams who are not competing in the World Championship 2021 League of Legends Professional League (LPL) Qualifier. The Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021 starts with the group stage scheduled to kick off on 17th Aug and will take place until 22nd Aug 2021. The champions of the tournament will have the honor of representing China in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship while the top two teams will participate in the Chinese Wild Rift Professional League Qualifier (WPL). Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021 officially announced by Riot Games China

The rising mobile MOBA title is off to a good start with its first official esports tournament in China scheduled to take place on 17th Aug 2021. The tournament will feature 16 non-LPL teams competing for a chance to represent the region in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship.

The top 2 teams in the tournament will also get a slot in the upcoming WPL which is yet to be announced.

Most of the participating esports organizations are widely known for their PUBG Mobile teams such as Four Angry Men, Da Kun Gaming, Nova Esports China. KuaiShow Legends is known for its Arena of Valor team while J Team is a Taiwanese team that owns a StarCraft II and LoL PC esports team.

Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021: Tournament Format

Group Stage (17th Aug - 22nd Aug 2021)

According to Liquipedia, The tournament starts with the group stage where the 16 participating teams will be equally divided into 4 groups with four teams each. The matches will be played in a round robin BO3 format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

More details regarding the playoffs stage and broadcast details are yet to be announced by Riot Games China. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for upcoming updates.
