Riot Games have revealed more details regarding the new items coming to League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 2.6. The upcoming patch update will deliver the four new items - Banshee’s Veil, Edge of Night, Hextech Megadrive, and Ixtali Seedjar. According to the game designer at Wild Rift Mike “RogueFool” Breese, the new items for Wild Rift Patch 2.6 are focused on providing spell shields and enhancements for support champions. These new items should add more diversity to the item pools of various champions who are having a hard time surviving burst damage. Support champions will also have much more impact and flexibility in matches when the Wild Rift Patch 2.6 drops.

Wild Rift Patch 2.6: New Itemization Improvements

Riot Games have delivered a sneak peek at the new itemization options for Wild Rift in the upcoming major patch update. The two new items Banshee’s Veil and Edge of Night will provide champions with a spell shield that completely blocks the next ability that hits them. The other two items Hextech Megadrive and Ixtali Seedjar will provide support champions with more utility to use to their advantage.

Here are the new items and changes that we can expect in the Wild Rift Patch 2.6;

Banshee’s Veil

This new item allows you to collect seeds from various plants around the map. These plants can then be planted which gives the same benefits based on the seed when used. Support players can set up game-changing plays for their allies whether it be a clutch Honeyfruit heal for your allies, a Scryer’s Bloom to help secure a dragon, or by leaping over a wall with your very own Blast Cone.

  • Total Cost: 2500g

According to RogueFool, these new items will be monitored and may receive changes depending on how they perform in casual and competitive matches. It will be interesting to see how these new items shake up the meta in Wild Rift.
