Omega Esports is looking to borrow Bren Esports’ Cartilo "Ribo" Jagdon for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational (MPLI) 2021. According to Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso’s vlog, Omega Esports is looking for a substitute for one of its members Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic, who has decided to take a break. Z4pnu added that since Bren Esports will not be participating in this year’s MPLI 2021, he is looking to have Ribo as a temporary substitute for E2MAX. The pro player said that they prefer veteran players as it is quite risky to have a rookie play in the upcoming tournament due to there being such less time for training.

The highly anticipated annual esports event - the MPL Invitational 2021 will soon kick off on 2nd Nov 2021 featuring the top teams from all over the SEA (Southeast Asia) region competing for the lion’s share of the $100,000 USD prize pool.

In preparation for this event, Omega Esports is looking to field a veteran member into its Mobile Legends team. Z4pnu mentioned that the team is eyeing Ribo, Bren Esports’ veteran pro player and one of his closest friends, as one of the pro players to join their team for the upcoming MPLI 2021.

“I talked to Ribo, maybe he’ll play for us and replace E2MAX temporarily,” stated Z4pnu. “Besides, they (Bren Esports) are not participating in the MPLI. Maybe we can have Ribo.”

Both Bren Esports and TNC Pro Team, were eliminated from the playoffs and as a result failed to book their ticket to the MPLI 2021. Both teams shall return next year in the next season of the MPL PH.

Z4pnu added that he is still unsure of Ribo's future plans. He is also considering borrowing Bren Esports’ Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel if they can’t have Ribo with them.

“I am not sure if he (Ribo) will keep playing, or will he be retiring. I don’t know what he’s planning in life,” stated Z4pnu. “There are others who are available. Pheww is one of the first four, and kids look up to him as their idol.”

The pro player explained why he thinks Ribo is the perfect substitute player. According to Z4pnu, it won’t be a problem for his team, especially for Omega Esports’s tank specialist, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog as Ribo has been playing with them behind the scenes.

He also further mentions that it is ideal to have veteran players for now as there is very little time for training. It would not fare well for them if they take another rookie player with them into the MPLI 2021.

It will be interesting to see if Ribo decides to temporarily join Omega Esports for the upcoming MPLI 2021.
