Pros and Personalities React to Team SouL Performance in PMWI
Several BGMI players, casters, and coach have shared their views on Team SouL's run in PMWI 2022.
The main event of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022 has been concluded and it’s Vampire Esports from Thailand who emerged to be the champions of the tournament. The PMWI main event featured the best 18 PUBG Mobile teams from different regions which ensured the toughest competition throughout the tournament. Team SouL represented the Indian region at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 and finished on 11th position in the overall standings. Team SouL had its moments during the tournament but the lack of exposure against International teams was clearly reflected in their performance. Many pros and personalities have reacted to Team SouL’s performance and shared their views on it.
BGMI players, talents, and team owners react to Team SouL’s performance in PMWI
Team SouL, the champions of the Indian region had a roller coaster ride throughout the main event of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational, the lack of experience playing against the international lobby was clearly evident during the crucial moments. However, there have been some major positives in the form of Omega’s top-notch IGL skills that garnered the attention of BGMI players, casters, and team owners.
Ghatak
Godlike Esports’ coach and mentor Abhijeet Harishchandra “Ghatak” Andhare posted an Instagram story and praised Team SouL’s IGL Sahil “Omega” Jhakhar for his brilliant rotations and zone captures in PMWI 2022.
Ghatak and other members of Godlike Esports also hosted a PMWI watch party to extend their support to Team SouL during the tournament.
Mortal
S8ul Esports co-founder Naman “Mortal” Mathur took to the Twitter and said that Team SouL experienced a roller coaster ride on the world stage.
Mortal mentioned that the difficulty keeps on increasing with every tournament and he is glad that the boys managed to finish on the 11th position out of the Top 18 teams in the world.
Dr. Rushindra Sinha
Global Esports CEO Dr. Rushindra Sinha congratulated Team SouL through an Instagram story. He said that this wasn’t the outcome that we expected but the team gave their everything against the best on earth.
Sinha further mentioned that he loved the chicken dinner (WWCD) that Team SouL got in the last match of the tournament.
Jonathan
Godlike Esports’ star player Jonathan also shared his opinion on Team SouL’s performance in a recent livestream, he said that the team should have capitalized on zone shifts but nevertheless they played decent. Jonathan further mentioned that the lack of practice against international teams is one of the reasons why Indian teams are not performing upto their potential.
Fyxs
BGMI caster Amrit “Fyxs” Gourav reacted to Team SouL’s performance in PMWI 2022. He said that international lobbies are a whole different ballgame and we still had the best representation out there.
He also pointed out Godlike Esports’ performance in PMGC 2021 and said that the team barely got the chance to play any scrims. Fyxs said that Team SouL was one of the best Indian teams in this tournament, they could’ve played much better had they got the exposure of how international lobbies are.
