Highlights
The Pokemon UNITE Patch 1.8.1.2 update has been released featuring a ton of new content for players.
The latest content features winter-themed events and cosmetics for players to explore.
A new Battle Pass has also been released along with a few balance changes for some Pokemon.

The Pokemon UNITE Patch 1.8.1.2 update has been revealed and it introduces players to new content and a game mode. A few changes to ranked matches have been implemented, allowing players to switch between a 5-man or 3-man party manually. A new Battle Pass has also been added to the game with a new set of rewards for players to acquire. The Remoat Stadium map has also been changed to a winter-themed map to fit the Christmas season. A few balance changes for some Pokemon were also implemented in the patch update which may shake up the meta.

New Held Items

Two new held items have been added to the game.

Rapid Fire Scarf

  • Increases your Pokemon's basic attack speed by (15%/22.5%/30%) for a short time after three basic attacks.

Drain Crown

  • Restores HP equal to (6%/8%/10%) of damage dealt with Attack-based basic attack.

New Battle Pass

A new set of winter-themed Battle Pass rewards have been released for players to acquire.

Winter-Themed Remoat Stadium

The Remoat Stadium gets a major makeover, transforming it into a winter wonderland. Players will get a chance to challenge the legendary Articuno in the middle of the map and test their skills. 

Snowball Battle

The iconic winter-themed game mode returns for another run. Players can once again play the Snow Battle game mode featuring the Shivre City map.

Boost Emblem Update

A total of 50 new medals have been added to Pokemon UNITE. Additionally, boost emblems will now be fitted based on the chosen colors thanks to improvements made to auto-loadout.

Pokemon Balance Changes

Espeon

Standard Attack

  • Boosted Attack: Damage increased.

Stored Power

  • Increased movement speed effect.

Scizor

Dual Wingbeat

  • Damage is increased from 3877 to 4208. (+8%). This also applies to Dual Wingbeat+.

Mamoswine

Ice Fang

  • Cooldown reduced from 7s to 6s.

Mew

General Bugfix

  • Fixed an issue where certain moves can't be selected when playing Mew.

Clefable

Gravity

  • Fixed a bug where unintended normal attacks could not be used.

Charizard

Standard Attack

  • Additional damage dealt to burning Pokemon is now based on Attack damage.

Seismic Slam

  • Fixed a bug where Seismic Slam can get deactivated randomly.

Sableye

Prankster

  • Movement speed increase applied to Sableye has been reduced

  • Sableye now exits stealth faster.

Shadow Sneak

  • Additional damage dealt by boosted attacks while in stealth is reduced.

  • Cooldown increased from 11s to 13s.

  • Damage decreased.

Confuse Ray

  • Cooldown increased from 7s to 8s.

Feint Attack

  • Damage increased from 1,864 to 2,052.

Mr. Mime

Base Stat

  • HP decreased.

Zoroark

Night Slash

  • Damage decreased.

Tsareena

Base Stat

  • Defense decreased.

  • Sp. Defense decreased.

Stomp

  • Cooldown increased from 6s to 7s.

Grassy Glide

  • Shield effect decreased. This also applies to Grassy Glide+.

Battle Item Changes

Full Heal

  • Cooldown increased from 40s to 50s. 

  • Duration of effect shortened from 2s to 1s.

Exp. Share

  • Fixed a bug when a nearby teammate knocks out a wild Pokemon, the Pokemon holding Exp. Share. The share will gain a little bit more EXP.

  • This effect is now always active.

According to the announced Pokemon UNITE event calendar for December 2022, fans can expect more fun activities to arrive in the game soon. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the coming days.
