One of the most iconic talents in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) esports scene, Rob Luna, has passed away at the age of 26. The esports commentator debuted back in Season 4 where he quickly rose in popularity due to his energetic personality. Aside from being one of the most iconic casters in the MLBB esports scene, Rob Luna also paved the way for many promising talents through his projects with the production company ULVL.  

Following the passing of Rob Luna, various esports personalities posted their condolences to the MPL caster. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Popular MLBB personalities paid their respects to Rob Luna

The PH MLBB community is mourning the passing of iconic esports caster Rob Luna which was confirmed by ULVL on Facebook on 1st March 2023.

“We want to honor his incredible life and contribution, not just to the Esports industry, but most importantly, to the people of ULVL Productions. More than just being the Production Manager of ULVL since 2021, he was a brother to the management and a father to the staff,” wrote ULVL. “Rob, the time you spent with ULVL will always be cherished and remembered. You have been a valued member of this family and will be greatly missed.”

As one of the most prominent figures in the PH MLBB esports scene, various talents and influencers took to social media to pay their respects to Rob Luna.

One of most popular influencers in the MLBB community Edgar "ChooxTV" Dumali reminisced the time when Luna made a significant impact in his life.

“I was with you last time as a host at a Realme event. I was nervous then but you were there giving me strength. You shouldered some of my lines just so I could get comfortable,” captioned ChooxTV

Other MPL casters also paid tribute and thanked Rob Luna for being part of the community and helping it grow to the colossal esports scene it is today.

Rob Luna started his career as a Tagalog/Filipino caster for the MPL PH Season 4. He also became a commentator back in Season 7 and for other major events such as the Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021 and the M2 World Championship. Aside from casting professional tournaments, he also commentated on various local events in the Philippines such as The Nationals and the Juicy Legends tournament.
