Nine Minutes of Valorant Mobile Gameplay Leaked

Valorant Mobile reportedly started running its first tests in China earlier this month with some screenshots surfacing online, but we did not get to see actual gameplay until now. A new nine-minute video has surfaced online showcasing the touch controls and gameplay of Valorant Mobile.

Leaked Gameplay Showcases the User Interface and Gameplay

The video shows off the buy menu and the user interface. While the game is being optimized for touch controls, the aesthetic of the upcoming title is nearly identical to that of its PC counterpart.

One of the first things that can be noticed is that the recoil has been toned down considerably to make it easier for mobile players to control their weapons during engagements. The user interface also showcases footsteps indicators, something that is not present in the PC version of the game.

The beta is allegedly limited to China only but Riot Games has confirmed that the game will see a global release. It is possible that Riot will host a beta for the global audience sometime in the future, allowing players to try out the game ahead of its release.

Riot Games has successfully ported most of its games for mobile devices. Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics are playable on mobile, with cross-play enabled, while League of Legends’ mobile-exclusive version ‘Wild Rift’ has been built from scratch for touch controls. Valorant is the only Riot Games title that is not available on mobile devices yet but that is going to change soon.

Last year, Valorant Executive Producer Anna Donlon stated that one of the top goals of Riot Games, when Valorant launched, was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS (First Person Shooter) community and that it “will always uphold the fundamentals of a truly worthwhile competitive tac-shooter. To see our growing player community recognize and appreciate what we’re trying to do with Valorant is beyond what we could’ve expected and we’re thrilled to soon offer the same competitive Valorant experience to even more global players.”
