New State Mobile New Era Update Adds Six Unique Characters; Check Abilities

The New State Mobile February update brought their biggest content update in the battle royale's lifetime. Not only Krafton introduced a brand new battle royale mode called New Era, they also six new characters with distinctive skills, enhancing the gaming experience. Each character brings a unique set of abilities to the game.

Character Profiles: New State Mobile New Era Update

1. Sam Berry:

• Faction Passive Skill: Starts the game with Plasma Shield Lv.1 and one re-entry chance.

• Unique Passive Skill: Begins with a Level 3 helmet by default, with slightly reduced recovery item duration.

• Active Skill – Brothers in Arms: Restores all allies within range for 10 seconds, with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

2. ShyD

• Faction Passive Skill: Maintains a full Boost Gauge status at all times.

• Unique Passive Skill: Maintains normal movement speed when aiming, with a slightly faster reload for all firearms.

• Active Skill – Fast Forward: Significantly increases the player's movement speed for 10 seconds, with a cooldown of 30 seconds.

3. Dante

• Faction Passive Skill: Maintains a full Boost Gauge status constantly.

• Unique Passive Skill: Increased damage for headshots.

• Active Skill – Shield Up: Increases the player's maximum plasma shield amount for 10 seconds, with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

4. Blocker

• Faction Passive Skill: Provides unlimited ammunition (excluding specific items).

• Unique Passive Skill: Slightly reduces bullet spread when in ADS state.

• Active Skill – Untouchable: Grants invincibility for 5 seconds but restricts attacks, with a cooldown of 45 seconds.

5. Maria

• Faction Passive Skill: Allows the use of one additional Jetpack.

• Unique Passive Skill: Faster reload and increased movement speed during suppression when using LMG.

• Active Skill – Full Throttle: Provides unrestricted Jetpack usage for 3 seconds, with a cooldown of 60 seconds.

6. Red

• Faction Passive Skill: Increased movement speed, parkour speed, and jump height when unarmed.

• Unique Passive Skill: Generates smoke automatically when stunned, unaffected by carried smoke grenades.

• Active Skill – Smoke Screen: Instantly generates smoke lasting 35 seconds in a wide area, with a cooldown of 35 seconds.

The NEW STATE Mobile February update introduces a diverse range of characters, each contributing a unique set of skills to enhance gameplay. Although the design seems to have mostly drawn inspiration from other ability based shooters in the genre, it remains to be seen how the fast-paced warfare fares in the PUBG community which is popular for its slow & intense battle royale experience.
