The Captain's Draft for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Invitational (MPLI) 2022 has been finalized. The tournament will officially begin on 2nd November with 20 of Southeast Asia's (SEA) best MPL teams competing for the lion's share of the $100,000 USD prize pool. The first round of the tournament will feature a clash between the participating teams with the exception of the regional champions for the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Coaches from each MPL championship team have drafted which teams will face each other in the first round of the tournament. The entirety of the MPLI 2022 will feature a single-elimination format which means there will be no second chances for losing teams.
MPLI 2022 Tournament Bracket
With the conclusion of the Captain’s Draft pick, the tournament bracket for the MPLI 2022 has been finalized. The MPL champions will immediately be placed in the Quarter Final slots while the rest of the teams will be competing in the first round.
Blacklist International coach Kristoffer Ed "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza drafted Orange Esports against Burn x Flash and RRQ Sena against Geek Fam.
Team HAQ coach Khairul "Pabz" Azman chose Omega Esports against RSG PH and Alter Ego Against Rebellion Zion.
ONIC Esports coach Ahmad "Mars" Marsam drafted EVOS Legends against ECHO and Bren Esports against Bigetron Alpha.
RSG SG coach Dolly "SaintDeLucaz" Pelo chose Slate Esports against Todak and ONIC PH against Aura Fire.
Teams will be competing in a BO3 Single Elimination series for all matches except the finals. The grand finale will have the top two teams compete in a BO5 series to determine this year’s champion.
