Eight teams shall fight it out in the MPL PH Season 9
The teams that shall go up against each other in this ninth season of the MPL PH are as follows:
When considering the teams that shall clash against each other in the MPL PH Season 9, one team that shall always take the spotlight would be the ultimate powerhouse of a team that is Blacklist International. The team has proven itself to be the best in the world after recently having won Mobile Legends’ grand event, the M3 World Championship in Singapore this past December. Blacklist International is also the defending champion of the MPL PH having won Season 7 and 8 of the regional league.
The team comprises some of the best Mobile Legends players in the world which most notably include the iconic Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Daneri “Wise” Del Rosario. The team is notoriously famous for the use of their “Ultimate Bonding Experience” strategy dubbed as the "UBE" strategy. The team is responsible for creating this strategy where the team moves together as a unit while being close to each other, all the while supported by a powerful healer that can heal everyone mostly through the use of Area of Effect Heals. The UBE strategy was instrumental in Blacklist’s success in the earlier season and even established a meta within Season 7 of the MPL PH. The team will be looking to come back confident and strong riding on the success of its previous victories and looking to take this new season by storm.
ONIC PH is another strong team which performed spectacularly last season. ONIC PH placed second at the M3 World Championships after falling to the juggernaut that is Blacklist International. The team has showcased consistency in its performances through the years and will be looking to redeem itself in this new season by maybe finally overcoming Blacklist International after having fallen to them on the global stage and in the previous season of this regional league.
ECHO PH will be all ready and geared up to take on Season 9 with its newly forged roster comprising of pro stars like the tricky Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico, the skilled Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and their noteworthy jungler, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno.
Nexplay EVOS will be looking to make a comeback as well and seem to be pretty strong due to rumors making the rounds of the team giving Blacklist a run for their money in scrims.
Omega Esports will hope to rise up this season. The team having acquired a new player will be looking to aim for the top spot.
RSG PH along with last season’s best rookie John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto will be looking to lock horns with the rest of these Philippines giants.
Bren Esports and TNC Pro Team
Bren Esports and TNC Pro Team will be looking to put up a far superior showcasing this season. Both teams have undergone massive player shuffles and shall be looking to conquer this season in a new light.
The tagline for the MPL PH Season 9 is “Be Legendary” as per the league’s announcement on Facebook. Mobile Legends fans will certainly be eager to see their favourite teams clash in the MPL PH Season 9, which is scheduled to commence next month on 18 February 2022.
