MPL PH Season 9 Playoffs: Qualified Teams, Format, Schedule and More

The regular season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9 has officially concluded. The six qualified teams are now preparing for the much-awaited playoffs stage where they will be competing for the championship title. The top two teams from the playoffs will also secure a ticket to the upcoming Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC 2022). The two bottom teams from the regular season - Blacklist International and Bren Esports are officially eliminated from the tournament and will have to try again in the next season. The award for the MVP of the MPL PH Season 9 regular season will also be revealed at a later date.

Qualified teams for the MPL PH Season 9 Playoffs

After a gruelling regular season, RSG PH rose to the top while ECHO had a surprising upset at the hands of Nexplay EVOS, finishing third place, right below TNC Pro Team.

Here is the list of teams who will proceed to the MPL PH Season 9 Playoffs stage;

Playoffs Schedule and Tournament Format

According to the host of the MPL PH, Mara Aquino, there will be a two-and-a-half-week break before the playoffs stage officially kicks off. The MPL PH Season 9 playoffs stage is scheduled to kick off on 28th April.

The playoffs matches will be played in a BO5 series with the grand finals having a BO7 match between the finalists.

Teams who finished third to sixth place in the regular season will be competing in the first round. The first and second place teams will skip the first round and start competing in the second round.

As the defending champion, Blacklist International, has been eliminated from the tournament, a new team shall take the championship title in the MPL PH Season 9.
