The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8 Week 2 has concluded. The second week is just as action-packed as the first week with ONIC PH and Blacklist International keeping its winning streaks intact. Bren Esports, on the other hand, is still in a very bad situation with no wins secured. Omega Esports finally broke its losing streak by defeating RSG PH with a clean sweep victory. The final match between Nexplay EVOS and Omega Esports was the highlight of the week due to its intense and suspenseful team fights. Here is a quick recap of the matches during the MPL PH Season 8 Week 2.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 2 Day 1

Nexplay EVOS vs ONIC PH (0-2)

Nexplay had a disappointing first match against ONIC PH. Despite replacing their star rookie, Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara with veteran star player, Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse, in the second match, Nexplay never recovered from their loss, giving ONIC PH a clean sweep victory.

RSG PH vs Omega Esports (0-2)

RSG PH managed to take the early game on the first match. However, Omega Esports pulled an impressive comeback before RSG could take down its last remaining turret after securing the late game Lord. During the second game, RSG had the kill advantage but was eventually defeated by Omega Esports’ map pressure. This gave Omega Esports its first clean sweep victory.

RSG PH got the kill advantage but it wasn’t enough to take down Omega Esports.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 2 Day 2

ECHO vs RSG PH (1-2)

ECHO dominated the first match against RSG PH. However, RSG PH stood tall and managed to make a comeback with a reverse sweep thanks to Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto's Roger’s impressive performance throughout the matches. The game ended with RSG PH securing the win with a score of 2-1 against ECHO.

TNC Pro Team vs Bren Esports (2-0)

Bren Esports continues its losing streak after their upsetting match against TNC Pro Team. The second game was the worse match for Bren Esports as they only secured three kills for the entire match while TNC Pro Team managed to get 12 kills in total, securing a clean sweep victory for TNC.

Omega Esports vs Blacklist International (1-2)

A fated rematch for the two rivals emerges as Blacklist International defends its MPL PH title with a reverse sweep of 1-2, in favor of Blacklist International. Omega Esports won the first match. However, Blacklist International came in clutch, securing two wins before Omega Esports could dominate further.

Despite being overwhelmed, Blacklist International managed to flip the tides and secure the win.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 2 Day 3

ECHO vs Blacklist International (1-2)

Blacklist International continues to assert dominance in the second week of the MPL PH Season 8. ECHO managed to secure one win during the second match. However, the team failed to keep its momentum in the third match, which ended in its defeat, resulting in a 1-2 score in favor of Blacklist International.

TNC Pro Team vs ONIC PH (0-2)

ONIC PH continues its winning streak by defeating TNC Pro Team with a clean sweep victory. For both matches, TNC struggled to gain momentum as ONIC PH maintained its map pressure, preventing TNC from hitting its much-needed power spikes to flip the tides. The match ended with ONIC PH securing the win with a score of 2-0 against TNC Pro Team.

Nexplay EVOS vs Omega Esports (2-1)

A grueling match transpired which resulted in Nexplay EVOS finally earning its first win with a suspenseful ending. Nexplay may have won the first match but Omega Esports managed to win the second which opened up a deciding match.

Nexplay’s Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-Anon took Omega Esports by surprise during the deciding match with his impressive patience in hiding on bushes and catching them off guard. This gave Nexplay EVOS a good opportunity to penetrate the mid-lane. Through a very intense and well-timed backdoor, Nexplay managed to break the Nexus before Omega could return and defend it. The match ended with a 1-2 score, in favor of Nexplay EVOS.

Nexplay EVOS managed to finish the Nexus vefore Omega Esports could return to defend it.
