Aaditya “Dynamo” Sawant recently announced “Gamers Unplugged,” a podcast series revolving around the Indian gaming community. In the first episode of the series, Dynamo invited Naman “MortaL” Mathur and interviewed him in a 32-minute long podcast. In this podcast, MortaL talked about Battlegrounds Mobile India’s (BGMI) return, where he revealed that no one has yet received any update about the game’s return from official sources. Following this, he talked about all the hate he received and explained his point of view on the subject.

Dynamo interviews MortaL in Gamers Unplugged Episode 1

In the first episode of Gamers Unplugged, Dynamo asked MortaL if he had any update on BGMI’s return. Responding to the question, Mortal said, “To all who keep asking us when BGMI will return, I want to tell you that the entire community gets a reply from Krafton or the responsible team at the same time. Even Dynamo would agree with me on this, and he knows that too. Everyone receives the message at the same time that the game might come on this date.” He later revealed that no one has yet received any such message from any official source. As a result, no one is quite sure when the game will return.

Dynamo talked about all the hate content creators and streamers used to get in the past few years. He said, “By working hard all day and all night, you earn supporters and fans and become successful. However, along with all these, you get one more thing: haters. I remember this was at its peak in 2019, 2020, and 2021.” He asked MortaL how he coped with hate during that period.

Responding to the question, MortaL shared an anecdote from his life. He revealed that he watched football a lot, when he was in around 9th or 10th class, and was a Chelsea fan. “Chelsea’s direct rival was Manchester United. I used to tease Manchester United supporters,” he added. Following this, he said, “This thing, I guess, is a part of life. I have also been through what these guys are going through. They are spreading hate, but eventually, I am pretty sure they are going to realize that it is unnecessary.”

The first episode of Gamers Unplugged was dropped on 14th November. The episode gives detailed insights about MortaL and his gaming journey since the beginning. More episodes are expected to drop soon with more other popular personalities from the Indian gaming community.
