Popular Indian content creator and S8UL Esports’ co-owner Naman “MortaL” Mathur recently shared his thoughts on the potential for esports in Krafton’s recently launched mobile Player versus Player (PVP) strategy game Road to Valor: Empires. MortaL stated that he had been playing the game for the past three days and expressed his belief that it has the capability of becoming an esports title if given the right opportunity. He also added that the game resembles the popular PC title Age of Empires in terms of troops.

MortaL believes Road to Valor: Empires has the potential to become an esports title

During the launch of Road to Valor: Empires, the game’s developer Krafton announced its partnership with S8UL Esports as the official talent partner of the game. This collaboration between two of the prominent players in the gaming industry is aimed at leveraging S8UL Esports’ expertise and knowledge of the esports landscape to promote Road to Valor: Empires in the global gaming community.

As part of this partnership, S8UL Esports’ content creators have been actively streaming and playing Road to Valor: Empires on their livestreams. These content creators, including Tanmay “Scout” Singh and Parv “Regaltos” Singh, expressed that they enjoyed the game and provided positive feedback.

In a recent livestream, MortaL was seen playing Road to Valor: Empires. While playing, a viewer asked him if the game had the potential to become an esports title. Responding to this, he revealed that he had been playing the game for a few days and expressed his belief that the game has the potential to become a popular esports title if given the right opportunity. “If given a chance, then definitely this game can be part of esports. Like, many of you might have previously played Age of Empires; this game features the same troops, almost similar, which is the best part,” he added.

Road to Valor: Empires could possibly bring in a new audience to the esports scene, especially in the mobile gaming market. Mobile gaming has seen significant growth in recent years and has become a major player in the gaming industry. Furthermore, with the unavailability of popular mobile titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Free Fire, Road to Valor: Empires has the opportunity to capture a significant chunk of the market. However, it will be interesting to see what Krafton has planned for the game and how it proceeds ahead.
