Former BGMI pro player and YouTuber MortaL named JONATHAN as the best Indian BGMI player.
He also stated that his favorite player is Omega, Team Soul’s IGL, considering all aspects, including in-game and off-game.

Former Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) pro player and YouTuber Naman “MortaL” Mathur hosted a watch party for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 (PMGC 2022) on his YouTube channel on 2nd December. MortaL’s former teammate Yash “VipeR” Soni and popular Pakistani YouTubers Jehanzeb “MrJayPlays” and Humera “LILY” were also a part of the watch party. During this session, MrJayPlays asked MortaL to name the best BGMI/PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) players from India. Responding to him, MortaL stated that Jonathan “JONATHAN” Amaral is the best player in India. He added that Sahil “Omega” Jakhar is his favorite player.

MortaL stated JONATHAN is the best player, and Omega is his favorite

JONATHAN is a 20-year-old professional BGMI player for GodLike Esports. At such a young age, he has already established himself as one of the finest BGMI players and has made a name for himself on the global PUBG Mobile stage. He has won numerous Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards at various tournaments, including BGMI Masters Series - Finals, PUBG Mobile World League 2020: East - Week 2 and 3, during his professional career.

Responding to the question asked by MrJayPlays, MortaL said, “I would obviously pick the player who has proved itself the most; the one who has won the most MVP awards. It is JONATHAN. He is a very good player.”

Meanwhile, Omega has been playing BGMI professionally for the last three years. He was a part of 8bit and Chemin Esports prior to joining Team SouL. Although he played well during his time at 8bit and Chemin, he failed to win any major titles. After S8UL Esports picked Omega for its BGMI team, he received the attention he deserved. He led Team SouL and won his first-ever official title, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS). After winning BMPS, he got the opportunity to represent India on a global stage at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 in August 2022.

MortaL stated that if he had to pick his favorite player instead of the best player, he would have chosen Omega, the current In-game leader (IGL) of Team SouL’s BGMI roster. Explaining the reason behind it, MortaL said, “These days players are very young. Omega keeps these young players under control like he is the owner of the team.” Following this, he added, “Game is a different thing, but apart from that, your off-game attitude towards other players matters the most. Considering that aspect, I would pick Omega as my favorite player.”
