The rise of NFT games in Southeast Asia (SEA)
Blockchain games such as Axie Infinity, Job Tribes, and Crypto Blades have started taking the SEA region by storm, even boasting a large active player base. One of the few things that kept this game going despite requiring a lot of financial investment is the unique concept of the “Manager and Scholar” mechanic where managers can lend their characters to other players in exchange for a cut of their loot.
These games have also started diving into esports with small community-driven tournaments being held in various regions, which have further bolstered its popularity.
