Highlights
The MLBB Advanced Server patch 1.6.90 has been revealed.
The update delivers balance changes which may reduce the viability of Tank heroes in the meta.
Depending on how these changes perform on the advanced server, many adjustments in the update may or may not arrive on the regular servers of Mobile Legends.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Advanced Server Patch 1.6.90 content has been revealed. This update has been currently made available only on the advanced server of Mobile Legends and is yet to be released on the regular servers. The MLBB Advanced Server Patch 1.6.90 update mainly delivers balance changes to heroes, including the revamped version of Vexana and Faramis. These hero and gameplay adjustments are subject to change depending on how they perform and may or may not arrive on the regular servers of Mobile Legends. A few bug fixes will also be applied in the patch update along with new features.

Hero Adjustments

Nana gets a slight adjustment.

Nana

Skill 1

  • Base Damage: 300-500 >> 250-450

  • The flying speed has been reverted to that of the Official Server version.

Skill 2

  • Standby Duration: 5s >> 30s

  • New Effect: Molina will disappear shortly after it’s exposed to the enemy’s vision.

  • Only one Molina can exist at the same time.

Revamped Faramis

Passive

  • The absorption distance of the soul fragments was reduced.

  • The absorption distance is increased during Faramis’ Skill 1 and Ultimate.

Skill 2

  • Skill damage is increased where there’s only one target.

  • The subsequent split damage has been reduced.

Ultimate

  • New Effect: Faramis gains soul fragments when allied heroes receive the Ultimate’s effects.

  • An issue was fixed where the hero could still move. Basic Attacks had been cast when the extra HP is depleted.

Revamped Vexana

Passive

  • Damage Bonus: 50% Magic Power >> 40% Magic Power

Skill 2

  • The slow effect has been removed.

Ultimate

  • Cooldown: 60-50s >> 60s at all levels

  • Undead Knight’s Extra HP: 1500-4500 >> 1500-3500

  • Undead Knight’s Extra Magic Defense: 50-100 >> 0 (applied in the previous version, now magic attacks will pose a higher threat to the Undead Knight)

  • Attributes Inheritance Ratio: 35-40% >> 35-45%

Ling gets a slight adjustment.

  • Base Damage: 180-540 >> 180-420

  • An issue was fixed where the damage was higher than stated.

  • Cooldown: 31-28s >> 44-36

Battlefield Adjustments

Bloody Retribution (Buffed)

A slight adjustment which may allow other Junglers to be more viable in their roles instead of the current Tank meta.

  • Extra HP Bonus: 25% >> 20%

Blade Armor (Adjusted)

Blade Armor’s reflection damage and crafting price has been reduced.

  • Damage Reflection Ratio: 25% >> 20%

  • Craft Cost: 1960 >> 1910

Athena’s Shield (Nerfed)

A slight adjustment to its defensive capabilities.

  • Duration: 5s >> 3s

Elegant Gem (Adjusted)

  • It is reverted to the Official Server version.

Talent System Changes

  • Deathly Alliance (Revamped): The mark can be detonated by allied heroes’ attacks, doing damage and awarding a small amount of Gold to the talent carrier.

  • Giant Slayer (Revamped): This item now deals more damage to opponents with more HP, making it perfect for squishy characters that seek to take down tanks.

  • Fearless Strike: The equipment can now no longer be activated against non-enemy heroes. It also plays a role in slowing enemy heroes and now also activates this effect.

  • Wilderness Blessing: In battle, the hero gains half the Movement Speed boost.

  • Fortune Finder: The death penalty can greatly increase. Though, the bounty will be granted at 12 min at the latest.

  • Homeward Bound: It now also fully restores energy.

  • Immortal Fury: It now no longer restores HP.

  • Essence Reaper: It now also restores the Mana.

  • Arcane Furor: It now has removed the damage.

  • Temporal Reign: The new effect in the next version will be “casting the Ultimate”, reducing other skills’ cooldowns by 1.5 s.

  • Regular Attribute Talents: It has now removed Movement Speed and Penetration, Movement Speed and Regen, and Cooldown Reduction and HP, and added Max HP and Cooldown Reduction and Movement Speed.

  • First Spawn: 25s >> 20s

Lithowanderer

  • First Spawn: 43s >> 48s

Weekly New Heroes

  • 8 Free Heroes: Yu Zhong, Karrie, Diggie, Vale, Grock, Roger, Natalia, Mathilda

  • 6 Extra Starlight Member Heroes: Kaja, Pharsa, Gusion, Badang, Minsitthar, Gatotkaca

System Adjustments

Creation Camp

  • Added a function that allows you to watch the intro video on the Lobby List screen. You can now watch video tutorials via the built-in browser.

Other

  • Adjusted the functions related to the Talent system.

Bug Fixes and Optimizations

  • Fixed an issue where the amount of EXP obtained from the Medal Chest was different than stated.

  • Fixed a display issue of the red dots on certain screens.

  • Optimized the image cropping function for custom avatars.

  • Optimized the display issue of certain in-match interfaces.

  • Fixed an issue where heroes could receive the effects of Blade of the Heptaseas and Shadow Twinblades without leaving combat.

  • Fixed an issue where the Base Turret's defensive skill could be triggered after 12 mins in certain cases.

  • Fixed an issue with the Referee function in Creation Camp.

These changes on the MLBB Advanced Server Patch 1.6.90 may put an end to the Tank meta and open up an opportunity for burst mages and assassins to shine through in the future.
