Karltzy Thinks Blacklist International Is Weaker Without OHEB and Hadji
The opening week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11 saw a grand clash between two powerhouse teams - Blacklist International and ECHO. The series concluded with the Killer Orcas achieving a dominant 2-0 clean sweep victory over the Codebreakers. Through a post-match press conference, ECHO’s star jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno shared his thoughts about the current roster of Blacklist International. According to him, the Codebreakers lost its champion-caliber performance when two of its iconic players from the main roster were not included in the MPL PH Season 11 lineup.
Blacklist International's roster revamp is a good change, according to KarlTzy
Blacklist International made one of the biggest roster changes in its lineup. Its iconic Mid Laner Salic "Hadji" Imam decided to take a break from competitive MLBB. The renowned Filipino Sniper Kiel "OHEB" Q.Soriano is now leading the amateur squad of Blacklist Academy in the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) PH Season 1.
According to ECHO’s star jungler and two-time world champion title holder KarlTzy, the absence of the two most iconic players in Blacklist International has affected its performance in a negative way.
“[Blacklist International] weakened because they lost two veterans,” said KarlTzy.
Despite this, he believes that the roster update is a good change of pace for the Codebreakers as this gives its amateur standouts Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo and Jon Redick “Super Red” Bordeos a chance to take this season’s spotlight.
“I feel they’re happy right now because this is a huge experience for its new players,” KarlTzy explained.
ECHO aims to continue its win streak in the second week of the MPL PH Season 11 regular season. ECHO will go up against ONIC PH on 25th February. Blacklist International shall deal with its early jitters and further hone its new lineup as it is set to face Omega Esports on 26th February.
