Kamaljeet reveals Jonathan missed Day 1 and 2 of BGMS Season 2 League Week 2 due to health issues.
Team Godlike has almost guaranteed itself a seat in the Super Weekend 2.

The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 is getting intense as it progresses. In the second week of the League stage the bottom placed teams from League week 1 are making a comeback. Teams like Velocity Gaming, Team Godlike and Entity are placed in the top 5 of the overall standings of BGMS Season 2 League Week 2.

After having a sub par performance in League Week 1 Team Godlike was unable to qualify for the Super Weekend 1. In Days 1 and 2 of League Week 2 it looks like Team Godlike has already guaranteed itself a seat in the Super Weekend 2.

Amidst the fierce competition fans were curious as to why Jonathan “Jonathan” Jude Amaral was missing on Day 1 of League Week 2. Later, Kamaljeet “Kamaljeet” Singh revealed why Jonathan was missing and when he would return.

Kamaljeet reveals reasons why Jonathan missed BGMS Season 2 League Week 2

Team Godlike is performing exceptionally well in the second League Week of BGMS Season 2. Jonathan has been the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for them. Jonathan had missed playing the Super Weekend 1 as Team Godlike failed to qualify for Super Weekend 2. He also missed the first two days of League Week 2.

Recently, Kamaljeet, in a vlog released by Ocean “Ocean” Sharma, revealed the reasons behind Jonathan missing the first two days of League Week 2 and said, “Jonathan was suffering from fever and had a temperature of 103 to 104 degrees. He was also admitted in the hospital because of this. By god's grace all his reports are clear. He is currently dealing with post fever weakness and is suggested bed rest for a couple of days by the doctor. When I spoke to him he wanted to play, but his left hand was swollen due to saline injections. I knew he couldn’t give his 100% in this situation and for me a player's health is the most important thing and the game is secondary in those situations”.

Ocean added to this and said, “People don’t understand what goes on behind the camera. There are many health issues an esports athlete has to deal with.”

The playing four for Team Godlike for the time being are Suraj “Neyoo” Nityanand Majumdar, Abhishek “Zgod” Choudhary, Arjun “Shadow” Mandhalkar, and Rudra “Spower”.

The exact date for Jonathan’s return to BGMS Season 2 is unknown for the time being. It will be interesting to see when Jonathan will return as Round 3 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 The Grind is set to take place from Thursday 17th August along with BGMS Season 2. Fans will want to see their favorite player return and dominate both events to help Team Godlike move to the further stages in the tournament.
