Indian BGMI Teams will not get to participate in the PMGC 2022 League Stage.
However, there is still one vacant slot in the PMGC 2022 Grand Finals.

Tencent announced that it has directly invited Vampire Esports (Thailand) and Falcon Esports (Saudi Arabia) to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 (PMGC 2022) League Stage. As a result, the last two remaining undefined slots in the league stage have been filled. This completes the allocation of all 48 slots and, unfortunately, ends the possibility for Indian teams to participate in the league stage. However, there is one more unannounced slot in the Grand Finals, which Tencent will reveal in the next few days.

According to the tournament’s roadmap, there were two vacant slots in the League Stage and one more in the Grand Finals. Tencent did not hold any qualifiers for these slots. As a result, Indian fans speculated that the Indian BGMI teams would be invited to fill these slots to participate in the event. However, the company has since given the two vacant slots of the League Stage to PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 winner and runner-up Vampire Esports and Falcon Esports, respectively.

However, one slot is still vacant in the Grand Finals. So far, Tencent has not revealed any information as to which team or region will get the direct slot in the PMGC 2022 Grand Finals.

The first edition, PMGC 2020, did not include any Indian team, as PUBG Mobile was banned in India. But in the second edition, the PMGC 2021, GodLike Esports was directly invited to the Grand Finals after it won the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.
