Hydra Esports is one of the veteran esports organizations in India. It has fielded a roster in the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) since the launch of the game. The team went through significant roster changes in 2023.

Hydra Esports’ BGMI lineup had a good mix of seasoned as well as young and talented players. It was one of the teams to watchout for in 2023, but its performance in some of the major events in 2024 was inconsistent.

Hydra Esports releases its BGMI roster

Hydra Esports made an announcement on 21st May 2024 and revealed that it has parted ways with its BGMI roster. The organization made a post on Instagram to inform its fans about the roster’s departure and wished the players well in their future endeavors. Hydra Esports had revealed its new BGMI roster in October 2023 and had shown good results in the first couple of events.

The post shared by Hydra Esports read, “Thank you for joining us on this rollercoaster journey and all the passion and hard work you guys have put in. Wishing you all the best for future”

Hydra Esports’ best performance was in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) Season 2 2023 event where it was able to impress everyone with its consistent and aggressive gameplay. It also placed 10th in the LAN Grand Finals.

Hydra Esports was unable to continue the same performance in the 2024 BGMI season. It was able to grab a spot in the top 5 in a couple of events but placed outside the top 10 in most of the events. It placed 17th in the Skyesports Mobile Open, 24th in the Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown Season 2, 12th in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series BGMI event, and 9th in the Upthrust Esports The Multiverse Series.

Hydra Esports had added Tushar “Dreams” Jain, a prominent BGMI esports athlete, to its BGMI roster for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 event. It played the BGIS 2024 The Grind event and placed 24th which helped it grab a spot directly in Round 3 of the main event. It played the recently concluded Round 3 of the BGIS 2024 main event and it was later on revealed that it was unable to qualify for Round 4 after which the organization parted ways with the roster.
