KIC 2023 returns featuring a $10 million USD prize pool

Through a Twitter post on the official HoK Global page, it was announced that the highly anticipated tournament, the KIC 2023, shall be held by the end of 2023. The tournament boasts a massive $10 million USD prize pool, the biggest yet in mobile esports history.

Last year, a total of 16 teams from around the world clashed in a semi-online format of the inaugural KIC 2022 event. The tournament format was decided to ensure the safety of the participants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chinese team eStar Pro stood above the rest and was crowned as the first-ever champion of the KIC 2022.

The ongoing Honor of Kings Asia Wave (KAW) 2023 is a testament to the potential of the game’s esports scene. Teams such as Malaysia’s RTZ Esports Club, Myanmar’s Impunity, and the Philippines’ Fennel, have shown great promise in the ongoing event.

With a lot of esports organizations showing interest in HoK, as it slowly gets widespread attention, it shall be interesting to see which team shall win this year’s KIC 2023 event.
