Team SouL’s professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh clarified that he is only going to be playing New State Mobile for a limited time until BGMI returns.
He explained that if he joins S8UL Esports’ New State Mobile roster and leaves the team when BGMI returns, it would cause problems for his team as well as himself.

Team SouL’s professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh recently revealed why he does not fully commit to playing New State Mobile with the organization’s New State Mobile roster. Hector explained that he was only playing New State Mobile for a limited time until BGMI returned. He also emphasized the importance of considering the long-term benefits of decisions, stating that his departure from a team could cause problems for him and his teammates in the future.

Hector states S8UL Esports’ New State Mobile roster would lag if he joins and leaves it after BGMI’s return

Previously, Hector revealed that he (Hector), Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, Deepak “SENSEI” Negi, and Harshit “MJ” Mahajan were building a New State Mobile team. Prior to this, Hector played New State Mobile with Tanmay “Scout” Singh’s TeamXSparks. Although Hector is a part of S8UL Esports, he did not consider joining S8UL Esports’ New State Mobile roster.

In a recent livestream, a viewer asked Hector why he does not play with S8UL Esports’ New State Mobile lineup. Responding to this, he acknowledged that it was a good question but explained that he was only playing for a limited time, i.e., until BGMI returns. He emphasized that even if he were to win trophies and leave the team, his departure would cause problems for him as well as his teammates. “The thing is that I am here (playing New State Mobile) for a limited time. For that limited time, even if I win two trophies and leave the team after that, then we will lag. My career will lag, as well as their (teammates) careers will lag. Those three players will lag. Those three players will have to search for a new IGL, and if they don’t find one, they will keep lagging, and the audience will keep hating them,” he said.

Adding to this, Hector advised his viewers to consider the benefits of their decisions over time rather than just in the short term. “That’s why when you think about something, think for the long term; think what the benefits of it in the long term are. For example, if I had won BMPS and left the team and played in another team. Everyone knows that Hector (himself) has helped the team to win the BMPS trophy, but no one would have supported me because I left the team. They would support the ones where Hector had played (BMPS) and won,” he said.

Hector won the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) with Team SouL and continued to play with the team in several other tournaments, including BGMI Masters Series and PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022.
