New State Mobile is slowly catching steam in the Indian gaming community with more tournament organizers hosting events for the title. Villager Esports has been promoting it well and even featured it as part of the Winter Masters Season 2.

After running for a period of more than two weeks, Villager Esports Winter Masters New State Mobile which started on 15th February finally concluded yesterday on 3rd March with Gods Reign walking away as the champion of this tournament.

It was an outright domination for the side, accumulating a total of 284 points across 24 matches in the grand finals stage, including 117 placement and 167 finish points. To put this in perspective, Team GodLike who was the runners-up of this tournament finished with 188 points, a difference of 96 points separating the two!

Prince "Sypher" Gupta, the star player of Gods Reign was named as the MVP (Most Valuable Player) for his impressive individual performance, securing 60 finishes while dealing a total damage of 10627.

The mobile gaming community from India might witness more New State Mobile tournaments following an alleged message from Krafton instructing third-party tournament organizers to not host any Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) events.

Villager Esports recently hosted an exciting New State Mobile tournament where Gods Reign proved why it is one of the best teams in the scene following a mammoth performance. The team looked indomitable, crushing all their opponents on the back of some highly consistent performances.

Gods Reign took the top spot on the points table in the first day of the grand finals stage and kept building on their lead till the very last match, ending with a massive score of 284 points which included seven wins.

Two of their players were in the list of the top fraggers, Sypher finishing first with 60 finishes to his name along with 10627 total damage, while Pratham "Cobra" Mehta finished second with 48 finishes and 9873 total damage.

The total prize pool of INR 2,00,000 was split as follows between the top three teams with an additional incentive for the best-performing player.

  • 1st | INR 1,00,000 - Gods Reign

  • 2nd | INR 50,000 - Team GodLike

  • 3rd | INR 30,000 - OR Esports

  • MVP | INR 20,000 - Sypher

If a team has two of its players in the list of top fraggers, it just goes on to show what incredible form the team was in during the course of this tournament. A difference of 96 points between the winners and runner-up is almost unheard of in New State Mobile within India.

Gods Reign has emerged as a team to look out for going ahead and it will be interesting to see how teams adapt to reach up to this benchmark set by them.

Once again it was disheartening to see Team GodLike take a podium finish as a win in a top-tier New State Mobile tournament continues to evade them so far.
