Global Esports bids farewell to its BGMI Coach Chawla “Mayavi” Shubham
Global Esports has announced the departure of their BGMI coach and analyst Mayavi.
Global Esports has parted ways with their Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) coach and analyst Chawla “Mayavi” Shubham. The announcement came as a surprise for all Global Esports fans as the team recently won the BGMI Masters Series 2022 under the guidance of Mayavi. Mayavi joined Global Esports in July 2021 as a caster and was then picked up by Global Esports after Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 (BGIS 2021) as the coach and analyst of its BGMI team.
Global Esports announced Mayavi’s departure from the organization
Through an Instagram post on 3rd August, Global Esports announced the release of Chawla “Mayavi” Shubham. In the post, the esports organization mentioned “Thank you @gamer_x_mayavi, You came into this world of esports as a caster but made your mark as much more, we wish you all the best for all future endeavors”.
Global Esports had a poor run in BGIS 2021 with its previous roster, the team failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament, following which the team signed Mayavi as its analyst. There was a time when many people started accusing Global Esports players of using hacks during online tournaments. Mayavi backed his players and asked them to record the POVs of every match and upload them on their YouTube channels.
Mayavi during his tenure also made Global Esports the most aggressive BGMI team in India. The team proved their coach’s statement true as they played with an aggressive mindset in the recently concluded BGMI Masters Series 2022 and emerged to be the champions. Global Esports with this win on LAN, muted all the noises who were questioning the team’s consistent performances in online tournaments.
The sudden departure of Mayavi from Global Esports is a surprise for all the BGMI esports fans as the team was dominating almost every other tournament under his guidance. Some people believe that the recent team-up allegations against Mayavi are one of the primary reasons behind his sudden departure. Godlike Esports’ Neyoo recently accused Mayavi of colluding with Soul against his team during the grand finals of BGMI Showdown 2022. However, Mayavi went live on his YouTube channel to clear up the allegations made against him.
Mayavi in his recent Instagram story announced that he is looking for opportunities and to start everything from scratch.
