Gladiator Esports: Rank One BGMI Team Disbands Despite Dominating 2023 Circuit
A true heartbreak moment for the fans.
Gladiator Esports has stunned everyone by announcing the departure of its champion BGMI lineup, who won both BGMI Masters Series Season 2 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023.
The organization also declared the end of its operations in less than seven months since it picked the BGMI lineup and started competing in the title.
The shocking thing is this development comes just a few days after Ammar "Destro" Khan publicly stated that the lineup does not have any intention of parting ways with Gladiator Esports and would continue to remain with the organization for the next three years.
Gladiator Esports Bid Farewell to Champion BGMI Roster Despite Dominating 2023 and Topping Leaderboard
Gladiator Esports was formed in June 2023 following the acquisition of the former Chemin Esports roster comprising Parth "DeltaPG" Garg, Ammar "Destro" Khan, Justin "Justin" Nadar, and Pawan "SHOGUN" Kumar.
The team’s journey started with a runners-up finish in its first-ever BGMI tournament under the new organization, Upthrust Survivors Saga Season 2.
Despite the wonderful start, the team had to play a few more tournaments before securing its first win in July at NODWIN BGMI Champions Cup.
From here on out there was just no stopping them as they went on to deliver top performances at a consistent pace, securing big wins at BGMS Season 2 and BGIS 2023.
These performances by Gladiator Esports translated into them skyrocketing to the top of AFK Gaming's BGMI Team Rankings.
June 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 11th Rank, 1.5 Score
July 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 2nd Rank, 21.7 Score
August 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 1st Rank, 131.7 Score
September 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 1st Rank, 131.7 Score
October 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 1st Rank, 241.55 Score
November 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 1st Rank, 242.87 Score
December 2023 | Gladiator Esports - 1st Rank, 271.47 Score
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Gladiator Esports despite dominating the 2023 circuit and delivering its absolute best in all the important BGMI tournaments were broken apart due to certain circumstances.
"Saying goodbye is never easy, and today it's especially tough. With a heavy heart, we say farewell to the best BGMI roster ever. We wish them all the luck for what comes next," read the final farewell statement by the organization.
It will be interesting to see which organization signs this BGMI roster for the next competitive season, considering the level of competition and skill shown by them as a unit this time around.
The shuffle season so far has been berserk with some established rosters and top-performing lineups witnessing departures from their respective organizations, Blind Esports being another example of these shocking announcements.
