Highlights
The 3.5 beta is expected to release around 18th January after which we will have more information about the banners, events and other patch content.
Dehya and Mika are likely to be the new characters who arrive in patch 3.5.
Among reruns, Shenhe is the prime candidate to receive a banner in the patch.

The Genshin Impact 3.5 beta is about to launch and there are already some leaks doing the rounds that give Travelers an idea of what to expect. 3.4 will drop on 18th January 2023 on all servers, and the 3.5 beta is expected to go live on the same day after which we will get more information about the banners that are about to drop. But there are “speculations” that revealed Mika and Dehya are coming to the game with the update.

Dehya and Mika likely to arrive in Genshin Impact 3.5 Update

Leakers have revealed that Claymore user Dehya will be the new 5-star that arrives in the 3.5 update and the other three banners are likely to be reruns. Shenhe is a prime candidate for a rerun as it has been a very long time since her rerun and Hoyoverse is pushing out reruns of Liyue characters for the Chinese New Year.

Dehya is an Eremite mercenary who was first seen in update 3.0 and she has been a part of many story quests with us. She will be the first Pyro 5-star character since Yoimiya, who released way back in 2021 alongside Ayaka with Inazuma’s release. Dehya’s abilities are unknown at the moment but we will get information about her kit shortly as the beta goes live. Hoyoverse is also likely to engage in its usual drip marketing a day or two after 3.4 goes live next week.

Mika is a character from Monstadt. He is part of the Monstadt Reconnaissance Company under the Knights of Favonius. Not much is known about Mika’s kit except that he has a Cryo vision. Physical carries have been out of the “meta” in Genshin for a while and considering he works for Eula, fans are hoping that Mika serves as a support for Physical units.

3.5 Will Bring Back Fabulous Fungus Frenzy

Fabulous Fungus Frenzy was a Pokemon-style combat event that involved catching various fungi and training them to combat against other in-game characters. The event is returning in 3.5 according to leaks and players have also discovered “PacMan” game files which suggests that we might get a PacMan-themed event sometime next patch.

With each patch lasting 40 days or so, we can expect Genshin Impact update 3.5 to release on or around 1st March. A livestream revealing the new characters should take place sometime in February. Do note that all leaks and speculations are subject to change so players should wait for official news from Hoyoverse before farming resources for their favorite characters.
