Gaming Masters 2.0 Announced With Battlegrounds Mobile India on JioGames
The second season of Gaming Masters is here.
Jio along with MediaTek has announced Gaming Masters 2.0, which is an esports tournament featuring the popular mobile battle royale title Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The tournament features a total prize pool of INR 12,50,000 and is scheduled to take place from 23rd November 2021 to 10th January 2022.
The event is available to both Jio and non-Jio users via the JioGames platform, with all the games being livestreamed across JioGames Watch, JioTV HD Esports Channel, Facebook Gaming, and JioGames' official YouTube Channel.
Apart from the main event there is also a 'Play & Win Daily' series where gamers can compete every day, get rewarded, and also stand a chance to compete against other professional teams for the ultimate championship.
Jio and MediaTek join hands to announce Gaming Masters 2.0 featuring BGMI
After the success of the first season of Gaming Masters which featured the popular mobile battle royale Free Fire, reportedly attracting registrations from over 14,000 teams. Jio has joined hands with MediaTek to launch Gaming Masters 2.0, with BGMI as the competing title this time around.
The grassroots level multi-stage gaming tournament is being hosted on JioGames, open to both Jio and non-Jio users. The registrations for the tournament are currently underway with the event scheduled to take place from 23rd November 2021 to 10th January 2022.
Complete schedule of Gaming Masters 2.0 is as follows,
12th November 2021 - Registrations begin
23rd to 27th November 2021 - Qualifier 1
30th November to 4th December 2021 - Qualifier 2
7th to 11th December 2021 - Qualifier 3
14th to 18th December 2021 - Qualifier 4
21st December 2021 - Road to finale
As per the tournament rules, each qualifier will consist of three rounds in total and five teams from every qualifier will qualify for 'Road to Finale'.

The first round will consist of 20 teams playing a set of two maps (Erangel, Sanhok), the scores will be tallied and the winning teams will qualify to the second round.
The second round will consist of 16 teams playing a set of two maps (Miramar, Erangel), the scores will be tallied and the top five teams will qualify to the third round.
The third rounds will consist of 20 teams playing a set of five maps (Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, Sanhok, Erangel), the scores will be tallied and the top five teams will qualify for 'Road to Finale'.

The top 20 teams from the four qualifiers will play a set of five maps (Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, Sanhok, Erangel), the scores will be tallied and the top six teams will qualify to the Grand Finale, while also winning certain prizes.
The total prize pool of INR 12,50,000 will be divided as follows,
