Cosmic University Acquires Former Amihan Esports Wild Rift Players
After the recent release of Amihan Esports team rosters for both Wild Rift and Mobile Legends, a new esports organization, Cosmic University, acquired the former Amihan Esports Wild Rift team roster along with new faces.
The organization started with cryptic hints and posts saying “the northeast wind blows into the cosmos.”
The full team roster was then revealed through a report from SPIN.ph, with the absence of its former Baron laner, KARLLL, due to his nine-month ban penalty.
The team is comprised of the following members;
John Daniel “DanesU” Mendoz
Leomar “Soon” Jalandoni
Miguel “Mitsura” Gavin
Richard “Demon” Lara
Beaver-Ed “Orthros” Gonzales
Mikey “Ferzerk” Alberto (Coach)
Only three of the former Amihan Esports players joined the new organization. It is still unknown which team Jelson “Jelson” Anthony Ayon will be joining for future tournaments. KARLLL, on the other hand, will have to wait for nine months before he can go back to playing in the big leagues.
Cosmic University recently played in the last chance qualifier of the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Fall Season. Unfortunately, the team wasn’t successful in securing a slot, according to a report from esports shoutcaster, Yuuko PH.
Cosmic University is an organization that’s widely known for its AXIE Infinity scholarships that give Filipino gamers a chance to earn and make a living through playing the crypto-powered strategy game. It will be interesting to see how well they can perform in the upcoming Wild Rift esports events with the former SEA Icon Series Summer Season Champions in their lineup.
