EWar Games along with Upthrust Esports has returned with the second season of their Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament called EWar BGMI Mahayudh Season 2. The tournament features a prize pool of INR 1,50,000 ($2,020 USD) and is scheduled to take place from 24th to 29th August. The tournament will witness a combination of directly invited top Indian teams and untested teams that make their way through the qualifiers. The BGMI event has been divided into several stages, with only 10 teams making their way through the qualifiers to join the invited teams.

According to the organizers, 5000 BGMI teams have registered for EWar BGMI Mahayudh Season 2, which equates to more than 20,000 players - four players per team. This will surely make for an exciting qualifier stage as only 10 will move ahead to join the top-tier invited teams.

After the successful completion of the first season which ran from 18th June all the way till 19th July, featuring an INR 2,50,000 ($3,361 USD) total prize pool. The second season of the tournament is now on its way, the open registrations having come to a close yesterday on 19th August. Here is all the information about EWar BGMI Mahayudh Season 2.

The 18 professional BGMI teams that have been directly invited for this tournament are as follows,

These teams have been directly invited for the Semi Finals stage of the tournament.

Format and Schedule

The initial stages of the tournament will witness around 5,000 registered BGMI teams go against each other in the Qualifiers and Quarter Finals stages. The registrations for the qualifiers was free and concluded yesterday on 19th August.

Only 10 teams will move forward through the initial qualifiers to the next stage of the event where they will be joining the 18 invited teams in the Semi Finals stage, scheduled to take place from 24th to 26th August.

This will be followed by the Final stage, featuring the top 18 teams from the previous stage along with an additional fan-favorite team, as a total of 19 teams will go head-to-head against each other from 27th to 29th August.

Prize Pool Distribution

The INR 1,50,000 ($2,020 USD) total prize pool will be divided between the top four BGMI teams, as the winner walks away with INR 75,000 ($1,008 USD). Along with this, the top three teams will also be directly invited to the next BGMI tournament conducted by EWar Games.

Additionally, the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament will also be receiving a certain amount as cash prize after the tournament comes to an end.

Livestream

The tournament will be livestreamed on EWar's official YouTube channel while simultaneously being restreamed on Upthrust Esports' official YouTube channel as well.

This BGMI tournament is a great combination of a grassroots level and a top-tier event, based on the number of untested participants participating in it and the professional teams that have accepted the direct invite.
