The Free Fire World Series 2022: Bangkok came to an end yesterday on 26th November with EVOS Phoenix walking away as the champions, claiming the top spot as the best Free Fire team in the world along with $500,000 USD (INR 4,08,34,975) in prize money.

It was a long haul for the Thai team who fought hard to achieve a runners up finish at the Free Fire Pro League Thailand Season 7, qualifying for the play-in stage of the World Series being held in Bangkok.

From here on the real competition began, EVOS Phoenix, hustling through to the finals where they managed to top the overall scoreboard by achieving a total of 117 points, including two first place finishes.

EVOS Phoenix looked in great shape coming into this tournament, proving that they had what it takes to be the best Free Fire team in the world. Having already missed out on an opportunity to directly qualify for the finals by placing second at the Free Fire Pro League Thailand Season 7, losing out to Nigma Galaxy by a difference of 88 points, they were committed to putting on a better performance.

During the play-in stage EVOS started off slow, cautiously building momentum and learning from its mistakes. Their patience played a key role as they registered two back-to-back second place finishes followed by two consecutive victories to jump up the scoreboard, collecting 107 points in total which comprised of 41 kill points and 66 placement points.

Cementing a place for itself in the finals, EVOS Phoenix decided to shake things up and shifted gears to attain victory in the very first match, rising up to the top of the overall points table. From here on they maintained this position till all the eight matches were played out, scoring 117 points in total, 54 kill points and 63 placement points.

Keyd Stars from Brazil gave stiff competition to EVOS and came very close to snatching the top spot, a difference of just three points separating them from the champions as they finishes with a total of 114 points, 52 kill points and 62 placement points.

Earlier this year, EVOS Phoenix had missed out on an opportunity to become the champions by finishing second at the Free Fire World Series 2022: Sentosa, losing out to their local rivals Attack All Around. This victory backed by some solid and powerful performances would definitely be vert satisfying to them.
