Nexplay EVOS’ coach Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio believes that Blacklist International and Bren Esports may get eliminated in the regular season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. The two teams are currently at the bottom of the ranks with only one win out of all the current matches played. According to Dogie, Bren Esports will have to win matches in the 6th week of the MPL PH Season 9, or it will miss its chance to qualify for the playoffs stage. Dogie further explained that there is no weak team in the current season, it's just that the pro players have improved a lot since last year.

Dogie explains why H2wo did not play frequently in the previous matches

Through a vlog, Dogie revealed why its star jungler, John "H2wo" Paul Salonga did not play as much in the previous matches in the MPL PH Season 9. According to the coach, it all depends on the strategy they are using in matches.

“Sometimes, the hero pool limits us. If there’s a strategy that MP (MP the King) fits, he will be the one playing,” Dogie said. He added that this allows the team to be more flexible as H2wo and its amateur jungler, Michael "MP the King" Endino have different hero pools.

Dogie explained that people just have very high expectations for H2wo. “When you’re super famous and you don’t meet expectations (of fans), they may get angry at you,” he said.

Bren Esports and Blacklist International are at risk of elimination, says Dogie

As Dogie explained why H2wo and Renejay were not playing as much in the previous matches of the MPL PH Season 9, the coach mentioned two of the bottom teams in the regular season leaderboard.

According to him, while Nexplay EVOS is still trying to rack up the points, both Bren Esports and Blacklist International may get eliminated in the regular season.

“While we are still trying to score points, in a way, we know who gets eliminated, Bren and Blacklist,” Dogie stated.

The head coach of Nexplay EVOS, John “Zico” Michael Dizon mentioned that Omega Esports is also one of the teams at the bottom of the leaderboard. However, considering that the team has already found its momentum, it’s only a matter of time until Omega Esports can start climbing the table.

According to Dogie, since Bren Esports is currently ranked last with only two points, the team will have to start a winning streak or risk being eliminated. “I think Bren will need to keep winning starting now,” Dogie said.

The Nexplay EVOS coach still thinks that Bren Esports can still catch up to the points as he believes “There is no weak team. Everyone right now is strong.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Nexplay EVOS was penalized with a default loss due to not arriving on time for its match against ECHO on the third day of the MPL PH Season 9 Week 4. The team is looking to bounce back from this unfortunate event in its upcoming matches in the tournament.
