Demonkite, Raizen, and Hesa Are the Top 3 Rookies of MPL PH Season 8
RSG PH’s star rookie John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto takes the title as the best rookie of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8. There were a lot of rookies that made their debut this season, three of which stood out the most to the extent of garnering everyone’s attention. RSG PH’s Demonkite had an amazing 71% kill participation, making him one of the most active pro players during the MPL PH Season 8. Following Demonkite, Omega Esports’s Jungler Dean “Raizen” Sumagui and Nexplay EVOS’ Mid Laner Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara also shared the spotlight, out of the overall pool of rookies, in the MPL PH Season 8.

The MPL PH Season 8 was more than just a seasonal esports event for Mobile Legends teams. This season welcomed a ton of promising rookie players that performed interestingly well and took the spotlight. Out of all the rookies that debuted this season, MPL PH reveals the top 3 rookies that dominated the MPL PH Season 8.
According to a post made by the official Facebook page of MPL PH, the criteria it used to rank the rookies is the following:
If the rookie made his debut this season.
If the rookie had a better team performance compared to other rookies.
If the rookie had performed well or had excellent stats this season.
Using these criteria, the top 3 rookies of the MPL PH Season 8 were Demonkite from RSG PH, Raizen from Omega Esports, and Hesa from Nexplay EVOS.
Demonkite taking the number one spot is not a big surprise for the fans. The player is among the top-performing pro players with 154 total kills along with a 5.5 KDA record throughout the MPL PH Season 8. The league rated his overall performance at a solid 66 points.
Raizen is Omega Esports’ new sensation. Due to his mastery of being the team’s jungler coupled with his overall map presence, the pro player has proven that he is someone to look out for amongst all the other rookies of MPL PH Season 8. He opened up a ton of opportunities for Omega Esports to engage in team fights which earned him a total of 4.16 average assists and a 3.47 KDA. The league rated his overall performance at 31 points.
Hesa is Nexplay EVOS’ go to mid or side laner. His flexibility allowed him to contribute vastly to the team and at times, even carry them to victory. The promising rookie acquired 3.38 average assists and 4.07 KDA throughout the MPL PH Season 8. The league rated his overall performance at 16 points.
It will be interesting to see these rookies of the MPL PH Season 8 improve even more and perform even better as they continue their competitive journey into the next season of the league.
