Call of Duty (COD) Warzone Mobile is currently in its private alpha testing phase under the name Project Aurora. Recent leaks revealed gameplay footage for the upcoming mobile title. The in-game mechanics are similar to other Battle Royale games such as PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile. The leaked footage also indicates the return of the fan-favorite map Verdansk which was featured in the PC version of COD Warzone back in March 2020. The Gulag system has also been revealed to be a part of the mobile title where players die on the battlefield and then get taken to a separate arena where they stand a chance to be able to jump back into the Warzone.

First look at COD Warzone Mobile alpha test gameplay

One of the reputable leakers for COD content CoD_Perseus made a tweet revealing gameplay of the upcoming mobile Battle Royale title. However, the post has been taken down due to copyright issues, but several screenshots and reuploads from the leak have started emerging on the internet.

Some notable Points of Interest (POI) in the game include the Prison and Superstore which are just a few of the locations featured in the game. Followup tweets from CoD_Perseus also revealed screenshots which hint at the return of the iconic Gulag system. This in-game feature allows players to get a second chance to get back to the warzone if they can win a match against another player in a small arena. However, if they lose in the Gulag, it’s game over for them.

Fans should take note that the gameplay footage and screenshots were from COD Warzone Mobile’s private alpha testing server. The game is still in development and will receive changes and improvements to gameplay and performance as the testing phase progresses. Activision is yet to officially announce the mobile Battle Royale title to the public. Fans will have to wait for more updates in the future.
