WRL Teams announce revamped rosters due to Visa issues

The Chinese Wild Rift teams were met with a challenge that threatened their chance to compete in the world series event. This left Oh My God (OMG) with no option but to give up its slot. According to Riot Games, the WRL 2022 Season 1 third placed team - J Team will participate as a replacement.

JD Gaming’s (JDG) pro player Liu "Timeless1" Xue was not able to secure a Visa in time, forcing the team to replace him with Chi from Team Weibo. The assistant coach Zhang "Mor" Hongwei will also serve as the team’s substitute player.

Nova Esports’ Zeng "Guoguo" Junli will not be able to join the team in the upcoming world series event. The pro player will be replaced with the team’s substitute player Wei "Nian" Haojin and the team has also signed a new player named ScarL.

The WRL 2022 Season 1 champion FunPlus Phoenix will not make any roster changes ahead of the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022.
