Bren Esports has officially announced the departure of its veteran pro player Mujahid “Lord Malik” Malik from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) roster. Shortly after the departure of its veteran player Allan “Lusty” Castromayor, the esports organization bid farewell to one of its young prodigies. Malik debuted under Bren Esports back in the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8 as the team’s Gold Laner. Since then, the pro player has shown improvements with his playstyle. However, the pro player rarely played during Season 9 as he was fielded in the second squad of the 10-man roster.

Through his official Facebook page, Malik expressed his appreciation to Bren Esports for giving him the opportunity to compete in a professional scene.

“Thank you for the experience, it was all worth it because I learned a lot because of this. It was still a good run, keep fighting!” he captioned.

Shortly after his farewell post, Malik announced that he was looking for a new team to join. Some MLBB pro players such as ONIC PH’s Gerald "Dlarskie" Trinchera and ECHO’s Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno also commented on his post expressing their interest in looking for a team together.

During his stay at Bren Esports, Malik had shifted roles from being the team’s Gold Laner back in MPL PH Season 8 to becoming the team’s Jungler for Season 9. Despite shifting his specialization in such a short time, he was able to deliver a stellar performance. However, Bren Esports failed to secure a playoffs spot and got eliminated from the tournament.
