One of the Brazilian teams that participated in the M3 World Championship, Keyd Stars, has now officially disbanded and shall not be participating in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Brazil (BR) Season 2. The members of the team are currently free agents and are looking for organizations that will sponsor their journey in the MLBB esports scene. Keyd Stars was the runner-up for the MPL BR Season 1, narrowly losing against Red Canids in the grand finals with a match score of 2-3. The team secured a spot at the M3 World Championship but was eventually eliminated in the playoffs stage by Blacklist International.

Luiizz confirms the disbandment of Keyd Stars

The Brazilian esports media handle, OBuff, announced that one of the powerhouse teams from its region has officially disbanded following its unsuccessful run in the M3 World Championship.

Following this, one of the former members of Keyd Stars, Luiz “Luiizz” Henrique Alves confirmed through an interview with ONE Esports that the members are currently looking for an esports organization that may be interested in acquiring them.

“Vivo Keyd left MPL BR. Our current lineup has no sponsors,” stated Luiizz, as quoted by ONE Esports. “We are now open to opportunities from Indonesian teams or other countries to have a Brazilian MLBB division playing in Brazil.”

Keyd Stars (also called Vivo Keyd for sponsorship purposes) were former members of the veteran esports team, DreamMax Esports. The team has been competing in the world champion series since the M2 World Championship. The team did not perform well in the tournament, but the experience of competing against teams from other regions coupled with its relentless pursuit of the world championship title is one of its biggest assets.

The team was composed of the pro players;

  • Arthur "Tekashi" Nascimento

  • Lucas "Kiing" Felipe Godoy

  • André "Prime" Martini

  • Luiz "Luiizz" Henrique Alves

  • Mayke "Mayke" Santana

  • Blink

While Keyd Stars has officially disbanded, this won’t be the end of the road for its pro players. There is a possibility that the fans may see the former members in action under a new team in the upcoming MPL BR Season 2 which is scheduled to kick off sometime in March.
