The Filipino Sniper title was given to OHEB during the M3 World Championship.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023 semifinals match ignited the stage as the beloved Blacklist International secured its spot in the grand finals. With a resounding 3-1 victory, the Codebreakers eliminated their formidable opponent, Burn x Flash, from the mid-season event. Notably, this intense series also witnessed a remarkable hero selection by Blacklist International's renowned roamer support, Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna.

In a post-match press conference, Lee "Owl" Gonzales, the star Gold Laner of Blacklist International, candidly shared his perspective on Mirko's previous statement which dubbed him as the new Filipino Sniper. Owl expressed his desire to forge his own path and establish his unique identity, rather than merely inheriting a title associated with the Codebreakers' iconic player, Kiel "OHEB" Q. Soriano.

Blacklist Owl refuses to become the “New Filipino Sniper”

During a post-match media interview, Owl openly shared his perspective on the subject of earning his own title. While he expressed that he doesn't place much importance on acquiring a specific title, he expressed a desire to have a unique one instead of being referred to as the new Filipino Sniper of Blacklist International.

"I'm not focused on having a specific title; my primary goal is to win," he stated. "I don't want the Filipino Sniper title because Kiel [OHEB] already holds it. I want something fresh and distinct."

In the MSC 2023 media interview, Indonesian caster Frederick Handy "Mirko" Loho assessed Owl's performance and suggested that Owl has the potential to become the "New Filipino Sniper" due to his impressive utilization of Beatrix.

Owl initially joined Blacklist International as part of the Sibol lineup for the 31st South East Asia Games. Following that, he was signed to the team's Mobile Legends Development League Philippines (MDL PH) Season 1 roster before being elevated to the professional league during the mid-season.
