Blacklist International's OhMyV33nus and Wise to Skip MPL PH Season 9

Blacklist International, the winners of the M3 World Championship, will be playing the MPL PH Season 9 without two of its key players. Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario will be skipping the upcoming season and shall be going on a hiatus to restore and recover themselves, according to an announcement made through the official social media accounts of Blacklist International on 9th January. Blacklist International also stated in its announcement that this hiatus is mutually agreed between the players and the organization. The players popularly known as the “V33wise” duo were instrumental for Blacklist International’s successes across 2021. Prior to the duo’s hiatus OhMyV33nus served as the team’s captain whereas Wise was the team’s mainstay jungler.

Blacklist International is proud of V33wise

Blacklist International in an official post through its social media accounts made the announcement that OhMyV33nus and Wise have mutually agreed to the pro players taking a much needed break. The players will be skipping out on the ninth season of the MPL PH, but shall return revitalized for Season 10 of the MPL PH and shall also be back for a chance to defend Blacklist International’s world championship title at the M4 World Championships which is expected to be held in December this year. The organization also affirmed that both players will remain under the management of Tier One Entertainment.

Blacklist International stated that it was immensely proud of the two players calling 2021 a historical run for the duo. The V33wise tandem along with the rest of the team members of Blacklist International achieved back to back MPL PH championships, and second place finishes at the Mobile Professional League Invitational (MPLI) 2021 and the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup. To top it all off, the duo led the team to a historic win at the coveted M3 World Championship.

According to the announcement, Blacklist believes that this break is much needed for the duo and mentioned that both players have exceeded the organization’s expectations in their first year with the team.

OhMyV33nus and Wise take a break for personal growth and family time

The organization also stated that both players are excited to use this break to pursue personal goals and spend more quality time with their families. It further added that V33Wise wished to thank everyone, especially the V33Wise Fam and Blacklist Agents, for their unconditional love and support.

OhMyV33nus and Wise also posted on their personal Facebook accounts and spoke about their upcoming hiatus. OhMyV33nus reflected on his thoughts on the past year regarding Blacklist’s three championship victories. He stated that competing at the highest level was a blast but stressful and as a result required a much needed break from the competition to rest and focus on personal growth and goals. OhMyV33nus also assured fans that his stint in Mobile Legends was not over and humorously quipped at needing a break to fix his hip. He further added that he wishes to thank fans for their unending support and said that this is not a goodbye but rather a “see you later”.

=Wise also posted his Facebook account saying he shares similar sentiments with OhMyV33nus and would like to spend some time with his family. He too wished to thank the fans for all their support and assured them that V33wise would return for MPL PH Season 10.

With the ninth season of the MPL PH coming up next month on 18th February 2022 it shall be interesting to see how Blacklist International fares without its two most iconic and skilled players.
