Blacklist International Won't Relax Despite Qualifying for the MPL PH Season 8 Playoffs

The defending ML champions, Blacklist International, believe that the team should still take its matches seriously despite securing its spot in the playoffs stage of the Mobile Legends: Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8. The team’s jungler Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario states that qualifying for the playoffs is just one of the team’s main goals. The team believes it still has a long way to go before they can finally say that they are satisfied with their performance in the esports event. The team’s EXP Laner Edward Jay “EDWARD” Dapadap also revealed that his team’s mental fortitude is one of the key reasons that Blacklist International is able to maintain its dominance in the MPL PH Season 8.

Blacklist International will keep on defending its undefeated title in the MPL PH Season 8

The sixth week of the MPL PH Season 8 is fast approaching. However, Blacklist International still remains at the top of the leaderboards with no losses suffered. Despite securing a ticket to the playoffs stage, the team refuses to let its guard down and continues to take its matches seriously.

After the match between Blacklist International and RSG PH, during a post-match interview, the defending champions explained that securing a playoffs spot is just one of its goals. The team aims to keep its number one spot until the end of the regular season.

“We’re not yet secured for the upper bracket, so we keep playing as-is,” stated the team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna. “The rest of what we’ve practiced, maybe we’ll apply on the playoffs.”

OhMyV33NUS’ partner, Wise also expressed his relief that they are one step closer to becoming the champions of the MPL PH Season 8. However, he believes only one of the challenges has been overcome and they are ready to face the next one.

“We’re happy because this is the first step to becoming the champion, am I right?” stated Wise. “How will you become the champion if you can’t reach the playoffs? So, we are happy about this.”

Blacklist International will continue to defend its title against Nexplay EVOS in the sixth week of the MPL PH Season 8 on 2nd Oct 2021 at 2:00 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the defending champions will be able to keep their momentum going by continuing their winning streak to reach the playoffs.
