BGMI Might Return Soon With a New Publisher According to Saumraj and AKop
Since the government of India blocked Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), many rumors surfaced about the game’s return. However, there has been no official announcement from either Krafton or the government. Recently, famous BGMI players Saumya “Saumraj” Raj and Ankit “AKop” Shukla informed their viewers that BGMI might return soon with an Indian publisher. In contrast, Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh said that the developer has not revealed any information to anyone and refuses to keep any hope.
Saumraj and AKop say BGMI will return earlier next year
Saumraj was recently live from his Instagram account, casually talking with his viewers. One of the viewers asked him when BGMI would come back. He revealed that BGMI would soon return with Jio or Airtel as its publisher. He said, “We recently attended the Valorant Harbor launch event. There I heard some rumors that BGMI is coming back next year around February.” Following this, he added, “According to the rumor, the new publisher for the game will be Jio or Airtel. I don’t know exactly, and it can be a mere rumor.”
A few days ago, AKop was live on Instagram to tell his audience that he had received some information regarding BGMI’s comeback. He revealed that one of India’s largest companies would publish the upcoming version of BGMI. He said, “I recently visited the Valorant Harbor launch event, where I heard from sources that BGMI will return to India. But the publisher of the game will change. It will be an Indian publisher, and it is India’s largest company. However, I am not allowed to reveal the company’s name.”
ScoutOP refuses to keep any hopes of BGMI’s return
After AKop revealed BGMI’s return news, many of his audience asked Sc0utOP in his livestream whether the information was accurate. He claimed that Krafton had not said anything to content creators. He said, “I have no idea. If the game developers haven’t given any information to content creators, then who will get it? I am not keeping hopes at all. If I keep hopes, I will have expectations, which leads to disappointment.”
Note: An earlier version of this article had "BGMI Might Return Soon With a New Publisher" as the title which has since been amended to add clarity.
